How does the AquaVage separate the fluid from the fat?

The AquaVage is designed as a dual vacuum chamber operating from the same vacuum source. When the valve is opened to the lower chamber or bilge, fluid begins to evacuate because the system operates as a passive vacuum differential. This means that though there is vacuum in both chambers (which is easy on the fat) the vacuum is greater in the lower chamber than the upper chamber and will continue to remove fluid until the vacuum equalizes. At that point the vacuum becomes “static” and the fluid will quit flowing.
