Your Liposuction Aspirator stopped working…

Fat and/or tumescent solution sucked into the vacuum motor is the likely cause.
There are many issues that can cause this problem. Primarily it is the direct overflow of fluid from the canister into the vacuum system. Even though there are filters in place, which are designed to prevent the moisture buildup in the main system, excessive fluid flow can penetrate the filters and damage the pump.
One way to prevent such an issue is to replace the canister 200 cc’s below the maximum capacity for example 1800 cc for a 2000 cc canister. If the procedure is almost over and someone can monitor the canister level, the extra 100 cc’s might be worth it. Otherwise it’s not worth saving dimes in canister use to jeopardize dollars in aspirator repair.
For long term maintenance the Absolute Bio-filter should be replaced every 15 hours. The Overflow trap barrier “fat trap” should be checked occasionally and changed once a year at a minimum depending on use of the system. If the fat trap (and it only stops fat, not tumescent fluid) is ever off color from its bleach white color, it is a good idea to replace it.
